The machine behind Money Matters.

Machine House Media built and runs the content systems behind Money Matters, Ankur Warikoo's podcast — India's #1 finance podcast, with 40M+ views on the show and 2× Apple Best Podcast. We built the AI guest-filtering pipeline in 4 days. Two years later, it still runs the show.

01 / The short answer

Who produces Money Matters?

Machine House Media built the content systems behind Money Matters — the AI guest-filtering pipeline that decides which of the thousands of weekly financial-story submissions make it to the show. Ankur Warikoo's team runs the show day to day on that system; Rishwajeet Singh, Machine House's founder, built it personally — in 4 days.

That division of labour is the point. We don't sit inside the credits of every episode — we build the machine that makes the episodes possible, prove it in production, and hand the controls over. Two years in, the system still selects the guests for Money Matters without us.

02 / The full story

Thousands of submissions. Days of review. One pipeline.

  • The problem

Money Matters runs on real people's financial stories. Every week, thousands of people submit theirs hoping to appear on the show. Warikoo's team spent days manually evaluating every single submission — and even with that effort, the best stories slipped through. The bottleneck wasn't taste. It was throughput.

  • What we built

A two-layer review workflow. Layer one is a demographic filter — the structural fit of a story, handled automatically. Layer two is editorial scoring: a model trained on what has actually resonated on Money Matters, assessing which stories will land with millions of viewers. A strategist sign-off closes the loop — no guest reaches the show without a human call.

Build time: 4 days. Not a quarter-long transformation project — a working system, in production, inside a week.

  • The outcome

What took the team days now takes under 60 minutes a week. The show passed 40M+ views, took Apple Best Podcast twice, and holds the #1 finance podcast position in India. During the engagement, Warikoo's total following grew from 9M to 13M across channels.

The proof we care about most: two years in, the workflow still runs without us. Systems that hold up in production, not just in a deck.
